A Most Brilliant 40D Duck Sample Shot

One of the truly remarkable 40D images from the initial batches of user-submitted photos, the full-sized version of this duck image is available for download, thanks to the photographer, NeilJones who posted the photo in a forum thread.
Based on the 200mm focal length in the EXIF data of the image, it looks like he might have used the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM lens (I note that he owns this lens based on an unrelated forum post).
